Hi! In this video I´ll show you the step by step to make this cute crochet slippers You can subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don´t miss next tutorials and watch previous videos You can click here to subscribe 🙂 You can also visit my blog to find more tutorials (direct link is in the description box below) and you can find me on Instagram as LasVaretasCrochet What you need: Medium weight yarn in 2 colors 4.5 mm crochet hook scissors and a needle In this video I´ll show you the step by step to make this basic crochet slipper that is a size 28 (US 11.0C, UK 10.5) If you change the hook size (3 mm) and yarn weight (light weight) you can achieve this baby shoe in size 19 (US 3.5C, UK 3.0) You can also achieve this adult 36 size (US 5.5, UK 3.0) adding 6 chains in the foundation chain (use 4.5 mm hook & medium weight yarn) Also, if you add some cute little details you can get funny slippers as these ones Let´s start with the tutorial! Round 1: To begin with the slipper sole, you have to make a slip knot then you have to make a foundation chain, of 10 chains I´ll show you slowly how to chain… Once we have our foundation chain done you have to chain 3 (this counts as the first double crochet) and now make 2 double crochets in the 4th chain from the hook (showing 2 double crochets) this way you have 3 double crochets in the same stitch (this is an increase) now you have to make 1 double crochet in the next 8 stitches I´ll show you slowly how to make a double crochet yarn over, Insert your hook into the chain Yarn over the hook amd pull the yarn through the chain There will now be 3 loops on your hook Yarn over the hook and pull the yarn through only the first 2 loops Yarn over the hook again, and pull the yarn through the last 2 loops on your hook Now your first double crochet is now complete. I´ll show you again… one more time…. you will continue till you have 8 double crochets Once you´ve done the 8 double crochets You have to make 6 double crochets in the remaining stitch (this is another increase) (showing the increase) With this increase you can achieve this semi circle that way you can continue crocheting back to the beginning you have to make 1 double crochet in the next 8 stitches try to hide this tail between stitches while you crochet (showing double crochets) 7 and 8 double crochets done! Once you´ve done the 8 double crochets you have to make 3 double crochets in the first stitch (the same where you made 3 double crochets together at the beginning) this way you complete a total of 6 double crochets in the same stitch the same as on the other side. (showing 3 double crochets in the same stitch) Slip stitch to join. (showing slip stitch) this is how the round 1 looks Round 2: Chain 3, this will count as the first double crochet then make 1 double crochet in the next 12 stitches (showing double crochets) 11 and 12 double crochets done! Now you have to make 3 double crochets in the next stitch (increase) (showing increase) In the next stitch make 3 double crochets again (increase) (showing increase) With these 2 increases we achieve this curve and that way you can continue crocheting back to the beginning Now you have to make 1 double crochet in the next 12 stitches (showing double crochets) 11 and 12 double crochets done! In the next stitch make 3 double crochets again (increase) (showing double crochets) In the next stitch make just 2 double crochets (increase) because the 3 chains we did at the beginning of this row counts as the 3rd double crochet (showing double crochets) Slip stitch to finish this row. this is how the round 2 looks Round 3: Chain 3, this will count as the first double crochet then make 1 double crochet in the next 12 stitches (showing double crochets) 11 and 12 double crochets… Now you have to make 2 double crochets (increase) in the next 6 stitches (showing double crochets increases) With these increases we create this curve and now we have to continue crocheting back to the other side Now you have to make 1 double crochet in the next 12 stitches Once you have the 12 double crochets done, you will have to make increaeses again Make 2 double crochets in the next 5 stitches (showing increases) In the next stitch make just 1 double crochet because the 3 chains we did at the beginning of this row will complete the 6th increase, the same as on the other side. slip stitch to join cut the yarn off This is how the sole looks when it´s finished Change yarn color The fist round of the slipper is going to be crocheted in back loops only if you look at the stitches they have like a “V” shape when we crochet we usually do it inseting the hook under that “V (under both loops) but in this round you have to insert the hook under the back loop only start this round in the middle of the sole Chain 3 (this counts as the first double crochet) and then make 1 double crochet in every stitch (in back loops only) by the end of this row you will have a total of 48 double crochets you can hide the tails between stitches while you crochet slip stitch to join this is how round 1 looks finished From now on you can continue crocheting in both loops as usual Round 2: Chain 2 (this counts as the first half double crochet [HDC]) Then make 1 HDC in every stitch (showing how to make half double crochet) (showing again) continue with HDC till you finish round 2, that will have 48 HDC slip stitch to join this is how round 2 looks finished Before starting with round 3 mark the center of the slipper with a piece of yarn Round 3: Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet) then make 1 double crochet in the next 15 stitches now you have to double crochet 2 together (DC2TOG) 3 times each DC2TOG counts as a decrease (showing how to DC2TOG) and that´s how a DC2TOG looks now make 2 more (so far we have 2 DC2TOG) now we have 3 DC2TOG! Make 1 double crochet in the next 4 stitches And now you have to DC2TOG 3 times again there we have our 3 DC2TOG finished Now you have to make 1 double crochet in every stitch till you finish this round ( it should be 16 DC) slip stitch to join This is how round 3 looks finished In round 3 it´s very important that the middle of the slipper is centered to make sure everything is in place, the set of 4 double crochets should be in the middle of the slipper this could mean that you might have to add double crochets in any of the sides if needed you may have for example 15 double corchets on one side and 17 on the other instead of 16 on each Round 4: Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet (SC) in the next 16 stitches (showing single crochet) (showing again) now that you have your 16 single crochets done, you will have to make 10 double crochets that close together (DC10TOG) (showing how to DC10TOG) and chain 1 to close this is how our DC10TOG looks continue with 1 single crochet in every stitch till you finish this round this trick with the loop will make easier to continue crocheting now you can continue with the single crochets slip stitch to join this is how round 4 looks finished In this round you may also have to adjust the number of single crochets in both sides to make sure that the DC10TOG is centered Round 5: Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet in every stitch slip stitch to join cut the yarn off and hide the tails this is how round 5 looks finished Using a needle hide all the tails and secure them And this is how the slippers look !!!
