Tutorial: Adding Beads onto Sandals

Tutorial: Adding beads onto Sandals To make this project, you will need: Sandals with room for beading Beading needle Beads Beading Thread Scissors Put the beads in the order you want them in Start by cutting a long piece of thread Thread the needle Push the needle through where you want the beading to start Don’t pull the whole string through, leave a tail Add beads onto the needle Push the needle back through the sandal Pull tight Push the needle back through the sandal slightly above the last spot Add beads Push the needle back through the sandal Stop here, and tie the original tail with the working thread Tie multiple knots and pull them tight Push the needle in, slightly above the last spot Add beads Then just repeat this process, adding rows Change bead colors as you go Add more beads to the row when/if the sandal gets wider At this point, I started adding beads in vertical rows instead of horizontal rows Once you’ve added all the beads you want in an area, come back up through the sandal, and run the needle back through all the rows If you want to add more beads in another area, stop there and add them Once you’ve finished adding beads, For extra security, run the needle back through all the rows Finish it by tying the thread multiple times with another thread on the inside of the sandal. And that’s it! Thanks for watching 🙂 Music: “Memorized” and “Memory Replaced” by Josh Woodward
