Traxxas Slash 4×4 Upgrade no 13 traxxas Revo Slipper Pressure Plate and Heavy Duty Slipper Clutch

In this video I am going to upgrade my traxxas
slash 4×4 by upgrading the slipper clutch assembly by replacing the Slipper
Pressure Plate and Slipper Clutch with the traxxas Revo Slipper Pressure
Plate and Heavy Duty Slipper Clutch so now I will go ahead and
take the items out of the bag so here they are. So I now have the parts laid out on the table
next to the RC vehicle itself so now we will go ahead and take a closer
look at these parts. So what you see here in this photo are the
traxx as 1/10th e Revo Slipper Pressure Plate and the Heavy Duty Slipper Clutch. These two parts are also used in the
traxx as 1/10th e revo These two parts can be use as optional parts to upgrade
the slash 4×4 So now what I will do here now is to take
these parts out of their packages Like this so now I will go ahead and put them
inside the plastic bowl Like this so now I will go ahead and get these
parts out of the way So the next thing that I will do here now
is to remove the body off of this RC vehicle Like this so the RC vehicle is ready to be
taken apart. All I need to do here is to remove the rear
section off of this RC vehicle Like this and I just got through removing
the slipper clutch assembly off of this RC vehicle So now what I will do here now is to go ahead
and disassemble the slipper clutch assembly itself Like this so the slipper clutch assembly is
now ready for the upgrade So now i will get these three pieces out of
the way And get the new parts out of the bowl and
get these parts ready to be assembled Like this so now the slipper clutch assembly
is now ready to be assembled But before I do that I will make a quick comparisons
between the Slipper Pressure Plate and Slipper Clutch that I have
originally installed that is usually standard in the traxxas slash 4×4 and next to it is
the Revo Slipper Pressure Plate and Heavy Duty
Slipper Clutch the new parts for a bit bigger than the original ones so now I will go ahead
and start reassembling the slipper clutch assembly Like this so I got this part reassembled So the next thing that I will do here now
is to assemble this part of the slipper clutch assembly Like this so I got that done So the next thing that I will do here now
is to install the aluminum pads Like this so I got that done So the next thing that I will do here now
is to finish the assembly of the slipper clutch itself when I am done
with that I will show you the results of that As you saw in the video it in the photos I
had some trouble assembling the slipper clutch due to the aluminum pads
keep on falling off otherwise I was able to assemble the slipper clutch so I got that
done So the next thing that I will do here now
is to reinstall the slipper clutch back onto the RC vehicle itself Like this as you see here in this photo So the next thing that I will do here now
is to rejoin the rear section back on to the RC vehicle itself
when i am done with that I will show you the results of that As you saw in the video and in these photos
I was successful with the reassembling but I have to readjust the pinion gear as
I was doing that’s it turn out that I do not put enough
thread locker so I have to redo that otherwise I was successful with the reinstallation of
the newly Upgraded slipper clutch So the next thing that I will do here now
is just put the body back on Like this so I got that done at this point
this RC vehicle will be ready for a test run as soon as the
thread locker dries up then the RC vehicle will be ready to be taken out for a test run
along with the new brushless motor system itself at this point
I am done with this upgrade thanks for watching that concludes
this video the end for now
