Today we will talk about flip flop timers A flip flop timer consists of 3 parts Two timers and an output Here, we are using accumulating timers The purpose of the flip flop timer is to control how long the light is on and off The two timers work in harmony to do this The first timer enables when the second timer is not actively timing The first timer reaches 500ms then the first timer gets reset When the first timer is not active, then the second timer is active After the second timer reaches 500 milliseconds the second timer is reset Then to set it to an output, use when the first timer is timing to energize the output This will turn on the light for 500 milliseconds and turn off for 500 milliseconds Here is an example of a flip flop circuit And that is the basic flip flop timer
