EMIT – SmartLog Pro Calibration


Use the EMIT 50424 Limit Comparator
and 50784 5 Pound Electrode to perform periodic verification of the
SmartLog Pro without removing it from the factory floor. Testing the wrist
strap circuit. Connect one of the test leads to the top
of the Limit Comparator. Connect the opposite end of the lead to electrical
ground. Connect the second test lead to the top of the Limit Comparator, connect
the opposite end of the lead to the single wire jack located on the face of
the SmartLog Pro. Select 750K low with the Limit Comparators rotary switch.
Touch and hold the test switch on the tester until the results are displayed.
The tester should indicate a wrist strap fail condition select 750K pass on the
limit comparator and repeat the test the tester should indicate a wrist strap
pass condition. Select either the 10 megohm pass or 35 megohm pass setting,
whichever one is appropriate on the Limit Comparator and repeat the test. The
tester should indicate a wrist strap pass condition. Select either the 10 megohm
high or 35 megohm high setting, whichever one is appropriate on the Limit
Comparator and repeat the test. The tester should indicate a wrist strap fail condition.
Testing the footwear circuit. Connect one of the test leads to the top of the
Limit Comparator. Connect the opposite end of the lead to electrical ground.
Connect the second test lead to the top of the Limit Comparator. Connect the
opposite end of the lead to the 5 pound electrode and place it on the left foot
plate. Select the appropriate fail low setting on the Limit Comparator. Touch
and hold the test switch on the tester until the results are displayed. The
tester should indicate a failed condition for the left foot.
Select the appropriate pass low setting on the Limit Comparator and perform a
test. The tester should indicate a pass condition for the left foot. Select the
appropriate pass high setting on the Limit Comparator and perform a test. The
tester should indicate a pass condition for the left foot.
Select the appropriate fail high setting on the Limit Comparator and perform a
test. The tester should indicate a fail condition for the left foot place the
5 pound electrode on top of the right foot plate and repeat the test procedure.
